Summer Sky Detoxification & Short-Term Stabilization Program
When you speak we listen and listening is at the heart of all that we do at Summer Sky. We recently opened a new detoxification and stabilization program for all those that just cannot commit to a 30-day or 90-Day treatment stay at Summer Sky. Summer Sky is a longtime advocate of 30, 60, 90-day treatment. However, we understand that not everyone in the State of Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana can commit to a traditional 30 or 90 days of treatment.
Detoxification is very important for the prerequisite of recovery from alcohol or drugs. Many individuals with substance use disorders will need medical attention to help them maintain abstinence. The Summer Sky Detoxification and Stabilization Program can help individuals prepare for the beginning phases of personal recovery. Summer Sky adheres to the developmental model of recovery.
It is equally important that someone recognizes that they have a substance use disorder or addiction. While entering our detoxification program, one will become physically free from addictive substances and become prepared for the next phase of treatment. Detox alone is not treatment; however, it is the first step on the road to recovery.
Stabilization involves allowing the body to begin to heal and recuperation is important during this phase of treatment. Designing a treatment plan is important during the stabilization period. Before maximum benefits from detoxification can be effective one needs medical detoxification and a plan for recovery. We can help you become free and plan for recovery.
Who could benefit from this program?
- Those needing medical detoxification that cannot get away for 30-days of treatment
- Anyone that has been unsuccessful in intensive outpatient programs
- Someone who has had a recent relapse, but had multiple treatment attempts and does not have the ability to pay for 30-days or 90-days of treatment
- Individual needs to reestablish their sobriety date in a 12-step fellowship.
- A person that needs detoxification

*The program is a 10-day program and some individuals need additional time in the Summer Sky Detoxification and Stabilization Program, not all chemicals are created equal, and medical detoxification protocols vary from person to person. Our medical and clinical staff will review your progress on a daily basis to help you become safe for the next part of your journey into recovery.
