Saint Patrick’s Day 2019 in Recovery
Recovery is the central goal of treatment from substance use disorders, and here at Summer Sky we celebrate recovery with our patients and wish all our alumni a happy Saint Patrick’s Day. Having fun in personal recovery is important, and we want you all to be safe. Our Pet Therapy Dog Hauss even joined in the fun this year for a quick photo shoot. While we’re on that topic if you have not met Hauss, he is an English Bulldog, and our patients love him along with our other pet therapy dogs. Animal Assisted Therapy is an amazing addition to our treatment center. There is just something amazing how animals bring a state of calmness to our patients. Whether it is experiencing our equine assisted therapy, riding our horses in the therapeutic riding program or experiencing GOGA Yoga (Goat Yoga) animals play a central role to enhancing the recovery experience during treatment at Summer Sky.
Since Saint Patrick’s Day is an official religious holiday, we want to take this time to share with you that Summer Sky does have a Christian Recovery Track for those who are interested in experiencing a focused Christian approach to their treatment from alcohol and drugs. Many people have requested this type of treatment experience, and if you are one that believes they can benefit from our Christian Recovery Track, then you are welcome to let our admissions department know that you’re interested in entering The Christian Recovery Track when you schedule your admission into our treatment program.
