What type of Insurance does Summer Sky accept?

We accept most insurance; however, we do not accept Medicare, Medicaid, Tri-Care or CHIP.

What is the admission process?

Our Intake personnel will do a confidential phone screening to gather demographic and clinical information which will take approximately 10-15 minutes. Insurance information will be gathered at this time and/or private pay options will be discussed. The admissions department will schedule an assessment and help guide the client through the admission process.

What if I do not have insurance?

Summer Sky has a private pay option available. Please call admissions for details.

How often do I have individual counseling?

2 to 3 times per week. If patients need more individual counseling then we can certainly accommodate to his/her needs.

Is Summer Sky a “gender specific” facility?

No, but we have certain group sessions that are gender specific. We have designated hallways for females and males.

What happens after I am admitted into treatment?

After admissions you will be seen by our licensed medical staff to obtain vitals and a urine analysis (UA). If Detox is necessary, we will administer Detox medications for withdrawals. Room assignments and inventory is completed shortly thereafter.

Do I have access to my personal email?

You will have the opportunity to use a computer for business purposes only. As far as checking emails for recreational use, Summer Sky feels that our patients are served better by writing letters to family and friends and receiving letters via mail as well.

Can your facility help with legal matters?

At Summer Sky, our clients can sign a consent for their attorney, probation officer, etc., and the staff can send a letter of admission to them which can include weekly updates as well as the discharge summary. If a patient completes treatment successfully and the attorney needs a professional character witness, Summer Sky will provide this service.

Can a person stay longer than 30 days?

We have a 30-day and 90-day treatment program, clients have the opportunity to stay longer based on their specific needs and the recommendation of our treatment team. We also have two program options upon discharge that are available after discharge. Contact the admissions department to discuss the ExtraCare or UltraCare aftercare programs.

Does your facility allow smoking?

There are designated smoking areas for adult patients. Smoking is only permitted at certain times throughout the day.
