Summer Sky Treatment Center COVID-19 Update
Summer Sky Treatment Center will continue to remain open to help those with medical detoxification needs, inpatient treatment programs, residential treatment programs, 30-day treatment programs, 90-day addiction treatment programs as well as our partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient treatment programs. We are here to serve your substance use disorder treatment needs. We are fully staffed and here to help individuals and families.
Summer Sky is operating with increased vigilance as we have put into place extra safety measures to protect our patients and our staff during the COVID-19 crisis. We are closely monitoring updates from the CDC, Texas Department of State Health Services and implementing recommendations as they become available. Summer Sky and its patients are our highest priority and we have increased our screening and assessment process to pre-screen for potential risks and dangers related to the COVID-19 crisis.
COVID-19 and Family Visitations
We are asking our families to participate in visitation through online meetings to minimize risk with our patient population. We will update this policy as time moves forward and please realize this is only temporary while the crisis is progressing and please check back to this page for changes or updates regarding visitation policy and changes before scheduling your visitation to see a loved one in treatment. Our highest priority is your loved one and the people we are treating in our care for substance use disorder services.
We have temporarily suspended all outside vendors from coming onto our property for safety purposes. We will discuss with each vendor through our business office proper procedures for delivery of supplies and other business matters. We do require screening and checks before any business related to Summer Sky is performed. Again, this is not to disrupt your business relationship with Summer Sky, it is just for us to be extra careful as we protect the patients we serve. Substance use disorder treatment is vital to people with alcohol or drug problems and they need a safe environment to recover from their condition. We strive to maintain a safe environment so that they can experience treatment services uninterrupted.
