Marandy L. Dove Texas Educator Certified, BS, MEd.
Therapeutic Activities Director at Summer Sky.
Marandy Dove graduated from Tarleton State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise and Sports Studies with a Texas Educator Certification. Marandy obtained her Masters of Education while raising two sons and working. She still managed to obtain and hold on to a
GPA of 3.85. Marandy’s two sons are her pride and joy; her youngest Dalton (15) with Down syndrome, is currently a freshman attending Stephenville High School. Marandy’s oldest son Neil (20) is a sophomore at Tarleton State University majoring in Ag Business. Neil is also a member of the Tarleton Rodeo Team.
Marandy’s sobriety date is February 20, 2000, which is one of the many miracles that have happened in her life. Marandy has worked as a Lab Supervisor for the Laboratory for Wellness and Motor Behavior at Tarleton State University. She has coached Jr. High Athletics at Liberty Hill Middle School and managed the Creek Bend Golf Course. During this time, Marandy found a spiritual calling. Through prayer, she looked for ways to incorporate her past experiences with addiction to help others like her, by using her education and talents. It was in God’s time that everything else paved the way. In January of 2009, God gave Marandy the insight to develop a Therapeutic Activities department at Summer Sky. After sharing her vision and passion with the new President of Summer Sky, Marandy’s vision became a reality. The goal and mission for Therapeutic Activities at Summer Sky is to enhance the quality of sobriety for our clients.
“I am blessed and honored to be apart of something so wonderful, the opportunity to be able touch people's lives and make a difference.” – Marandy Dove
